Burton’s Biscuits have been baking since the 1900’s. Today they supply the UK’s leading retailers with some of the UK’s most iconic biscuit brands, with over 2000 biscuit experts up and down the country they are proud to produce iconic brands such as the cheeky Jammie Dodger, the choc chip filled Maryland Cookie or the great big Wagon Wheel – Burton’s have a brand that will bring a smile to every face.
Burton’s sought a solution that would seamlessly integrate with SAP, to provide a feasible Supply Plan for all production sites and accounting for Co Packer Production. The Plan will reduce surplus stock and drive the production schedules to reduce changeovers. Planning will be completed with a common system and process, giving synchronisation and visibility of the Supply Network..
By implementing sofco’s Supply Planning and Scheduling solution all commercial requests for ‘more stock’ or ‘what-if’ scenario planning will be supported. The users will have the ability to optimise/minimise the impact of changeover times by having the ability to group and effectively sequence different Product and allergen groups dynamically across individual and/or group sets of resources. Burton’s planners will produce a feasible and optimised production plan by identifying the best possible production scenarios.
